Details Announced: The 2015 Deer Lake 67

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Its time to start training for the 3rd Annual Deer Lake 67. Here is what many of you have been patiently waiting for, the event details:

Race Details:

Race Date: 30 Aug 2015 (Sunday)

Distance: 67.55km

Start Time: 6:30am

Cutoff Time: 4:30pm (10hrs)

Registration Cap: 67 racers

Registration Dates:

Registration Opens:  12:00pm (Noon) on 10 Mar 2015

Early Bird Rates End:  4:00pm on 31 May 2015

Registration Closes:  4:00pm on 31 Jul 2015

2015 Registration Rates:

Early Bird Special: $67.00

Regular Registration: $80.00

The registration link will be posted here on our website on the morning of 10 Mar 2015.  Be sure to mark your calendar and set your alarm. Those 67 slots may disappear quickly!

Here are some Thanks You notes to pass on for local businesses that have graciously decided to support this year’s race:

Thank you to Western Trading Limited (Honeywagon) for donating two portable toilets to support AS3 and AS4.

Thank you to Colemans who have donated some of the food supplies that will stock AS1, AS2, AS3 & AS5.

Thank you to Deer Lake Video for providing two boxes of Big Turk chocolate bars. Each racer will get a complimentary one in their race kit.

Thank you to the Department of Natural Resources for donating the four trays of seedlings that will given to racers and volunteers as a momento of this great event.

All this wonderful support is what makes the Deer Lake 67 such an amazing, community based, event. We hope that all the racers enjoy it!

Just after 8:00am on Friday, 29 Aug 2014, the West Coast Morning Show (CBC Radio One) will be interviewing our Race Organizer, Lorne Reid, and one of our racers, who is coming from outside the province, Terry Burt.

Volunteer Meeting Reminder

This is just a reminder that the pre-race volunteer briefing for the 2014 Deer Lake 67 will be held this evening at 7:00pm at the Holiday Inn Express.  Our race organizer, Lorne Reid, will go over the volunteer tasks in details and answer any questions that volunteers may have.  Hope to see you all out this evening.
